MELT ? What is it ?
The MELT Method (MELT) is a self-treatment technique that helps prevent pain, heal injury, and erase the negative effects of aging and active living. Previously such results were available only through ongoing, costly bodywork from multiple practitioners. With simplicity, the method will teach you to develop your awareness and body efficiency. Sue Hitzmann is the creator of the MELT Method. She has worked in the fitness industries for 20 years and is a nationally recognized somatic-movement educator and manual therapist.
And... What to expect in a MELT class ?
Melt classes will provide the opportunity to restore and balance the nervous and the lymphatic systems by working with the connective tissue and fascia. Using specific balls and rollers, the connective tissue is stimulated with light pressure of different forms (shearing, gliding, rinsing) allowing the body to regain stability, mobility and reduce the effects of aging.
A fervent practioner of Iyengar Yoga, with a bachlor in Social Communications Melanie, MELT teacher at The Little Yoga Room, took a strong liking to the MELT Method after a bike accident in 2009 broke her back. A year later, Melanie has pilgramed to NYC in order to bring this practice back to Montreal, where as it stands, is exclusive in Quebec. Formations of the MELT Method are regularly attended in NYC bringing dynamism to the classes and her personal practice of the method.
